Ode to the last bag of breastmilk I pumped while working.

Sweet breastmilk, I painstakingly pumped you

To keep my beautiful boy fed while I was at work.

But you were rejected.
In bottles,
In sippies,

He would not drink you.

So I quit,
And you were cooked!

He loves his oaty-meal!

Yay oatmeal!

Gotta keep it all in!

Last bite.
But you are gone now,
So tomorrow's will be made with almond milk.

Boys in hats!

In case you haven't noticed, Jonathan wears hats.
Which is just fine with me, because I think he looks pretty stinkin' sexy in them!  ;)

He is, of course, attempting to pass down his love of hats to Zachariah...

who is not always cooperative...

but is always every bit as cute as his daddy in a hat!
I love my boys!!!

Finally, a break in the weather!

It's been a bad summer.  No rain, SO hot, we've pretty much hibernated indoors.  So when we woke up today and it was actually cool, we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and go to the park!  This was Zachariah's first visit, and he seemed to enjoy it.
We ran into friends and walked around part of the lake with them!  :)
And then fed the ducks.
Ummm, actually, mostly geese.
And of course, Zachariah wanted some bread, too!
Even these big girls haven't gotten "too cool" to feed some fowl.
A little milk to wash down the bread?
Love snuggling with my boy!
Daddy saved a piece of bread just for me to throw.  <3
I have to say that I'm really looking forward to being able to go to the park more this fall!  :)

First field trip of the school year

I know I've said it before but one of the things I love about homeschooling is the flexibility it gives us to do things during the week.  Jonathan had already gotten his hours for the week, so last Friday we went to our favourite place in Dallas!  Zachariah is really aware of things around him now, and enjoyed it lots!  Jonathan was the cameraman for the day, so I am actually in a lot of the pictures.
Yummy fish!

It's a pygmy

Sweet girls

We almost never see this sloth!

They actually let Daddy take their picture!

Love my girls!

"Can you say owl?"

Mommy's view

Tiny cuddlefish

It's an eel garden!

Ooh, dinner AND a show!

Hi seahorse!

Ooh, look at the big kitty!
