Martin girls!

We have not had any professional pictures taken as a family in forever, but there happened to be a photographer at the Mother's Day luncheon here in Anna, so I figured "why not?" That is one good lookin' group of girls, if I do say so myself! ;) We must manage to get one with Jonathan sometime soon! I can't remember which shoes we all had on, but my heels must have been higher than Celestia's, because she is certainly taller that me now!

Esther-ordinary Faith!

Sunday was our spring children's musical at church. The girls did a WONDERFUL job, and had a great time! This was Celestia's last musical with FBC Anna, as she will be in *gasp!* middle school next year! As always, she smiled and did a wonderful job with her part. Tatiana got exactly the role she wanted, and I am so proud of them both! I hope to have my video camera figured out soon, so I can post some video clips of them, but for now, the pictures will have to do.

Actual Pictures

The day Tatiana and I made our whirlwind trip to the aquarium for her to buy a jaguar puppet, I left my camera at home. We weren't planning on staying for long, and I really didn't expect to have any exciting photo opportunities. Unfortunately, there WAS a great one, and I was extremely disappointed to be camera-less. One of the ladies who happened to be there that day promised to E-mail me pictures, but I didn't want to say anything, because I'd not yet received the pictures. Well, they've finally arrived! Tell me that's not the cutest thing you ever saw!

Seriously?

Yesterday, as the girls and I were sitting in the family room doing math, Tatiana suddenly looked over at the window and said "Mommy, there's a snake on the house!" I'm thinking "Awww, how sweet, she loves animals so much, she's seeing snakes hanging off the house!" Sure enough, I looked over and there was a little snake writhing in the eaves. I caught it just in time to watch him fall. Sadly, I wasn't able to track down the little guy to snap a picture, or to figure out what kind of snake I had dangling off my roof, so Escher will have to suffice.

I have been tagged

OK, I admit it... My cousin Christi tagged me lase week, and I have been procrastinating (who me?) doing this, because I'm not certain I can think of 8 people to tag. I'm STILL not sure about that one, but here goes anyway!
So here is what you do. Make 3 lists of 8. First 8 Things you look forward to Then 8 Things you did yesterday Then 8 Programs you watch on TV. Then go tag 8 people to do the same. So here are my lists.

8 Things I Look Forward To

1. Finally having those credit cards paid off
2. Jonathan being home from the trip he's on
3. Getting my house more organised (might actually happen now that I'm home more!)
4. Esther-ordinary Faith
5. Being through with Esther-ordinary Faith (ha ha!)
6. My new business taking off and making some money
7. Teaching the girls all that I can, and more
8. My coffee cooling off a bit so I can drink it

8 Things I Did Yesterday

1. Took Jonathan to the airport
2. Had a panic attack
3. Went to Prestoncrest with Mom and Dad
4. Enjoyed lunch at the Olive Garden with my family for Mother's Day
5. Got some yummy-smelling shower gel and a candle from my mom
6. Went home and took a nap
7. Played on my computer for a while
8. Took a hot bubble bath

8 Programs I watch on TV - This one will also be tough. I don't watch much TV

1. Ugly Betty
2. House
3. Leverage
4. Crocodile Hunter - I'm angry with Animal Planet right now, because their current programming is RUBBISH!
5. Jeff Corwin - See above comment.
6. Hockey
7. Denise Austin - as I sit here feeling guilty because there are several recorded on my DVR right now and I'm not feeling motivated enough to get off my bum and go do them!
8. DVD's - HA! I made it! We enjoy popping popcorn and having family movie nights!

So those are my lists. Now its time for --
1. Jamie M. http://scottandjamiemclaughlin.blogspot.com/
2. Jamie L. http://www.dudekandlamb.blogspot.com/
3. Angie Moore - Can I tag people on facebook?
4. Barbara
5. Darlene http://gervingfam.blogspot.com/
6. Jonathan - because he's so darn cute!
7. Katie S.
8. Michelle

Whew! That last 8 was difficult! I like to pick people I think may actually DO this. lol

Happy Mother's Day!

My beautiful girls were asked to sing at a Mother's Day luncheon that is put on by the community every year on the Saturday before Mother's Day. I'm still trying to figure out how to use my wonderful video camera that Jonathan gave me for Christmas, and didn't get video at the actual luncheon, however I recorded them singing their song once we got home. Ask me if I can now get it off the camcorder. Grrrrrrrrr. ANYWAY... I WILL have video of the girlies singing sometime in the near future! I think I may have to order a new USB cable, because my computer doesn't seem to be recognising the camera. Meanwhile, here are some pictures from our day! I was sacked out, can you tell? Hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day!

Completely unexpected cuteness!

Celestia went to watch a friend play soccer yesterday, so that left Tatiana and I on our own. I promised her we would do something special together, and she requested a trip to the aquarium so she could buy a stuffed jaguar with some of her own money. She brought her stuffed jaguar to the jaguar exhibit to introduce her, and the real jaguar was very interested. I didn't have my camera, but I do have a picture of said cat in it's normal state... napping on a pedestal. He hopped down, stalked over to Tatiana and her stuffed animal, and proceeded to paw at the glass. It was absolutely adorable, and a little saddening. He really seemed like he was hoping for a playmate. Further research, however proved that jaguars are actually territorial, so it was probably trying to chase the stuffed animal away. In any event, Tatiana enjoyed our (very quick) trip to the aquarium and hasn't put her stuffed animals down!
