So much to post, so little time!

We've been busy folks lately, so this will be a big catch up post!
Here is my little Zachariah playing with my sweet daddy.  Love seeing these two together.  :)

Every week at Friday School a different family does a skit about that semester's theme.  This time it is about the books of the Bible.  Last week, we signed up to do the skit.  It was so much fun!!!  Our inspiration came from the creators of Veggie Tales, and really, who doesn't love Veggie Tales?  I have a video, but seem to have misplaced the cable to transfer it to my computer.  In the meantime, here are some still shots of the four of us.  The lighting in the building leaves something to be desired, so they're a little dark.
Singing about the Pentateuch

Celestia had some super silly lines!

"Moses gives a big giant speech!"

Zachariah adding his two cents
Last, but not least, how about some super cute shots of my oldest child wearing my youngest child?  The girls have been begging me to try wearing Zachariah for a while now.  I may seriously have to consider buying them their own sling.  <3

Frog and Toad fun!

Oh my goodness, I am having so much fun being in a show again! The more we practise, the more I realise what a poor substitute co-directing was for acting. Last night the director asked me if I'm still having fun, or if I'm worn out yet, to which I immediately replied "BOTH! Isn't that how it's supposed to be?" Yes, folks we have rehearsal four nights a week for three hours a night, and it is tiring! I can't even begin to explain how fulfilling it is though, and I am reminded that this is what I had planned to do with my life. When I grow up, I want to be in musical theatre! :) I can't seem to figure out how to save the ultra cute smilebox presentation I just received in my Email that inspired this post, so just click on the link and it will take you there to see some cute pictures of our preparations! Too bad they caught me in the middle of funny expressions in all of the pics! lol

A Year With Frog and Toad

Last week I went out on a limb and auditioned for community theatre for the first time EVER, and guess what??? I got a part! I am going to appear as Mother Frog, and a member of the chorus (bird, mole) in the Sherman Community Players production of A Year With Frog and Toad. I am really looking forward to it, as I have determined that being one of 4 co-directors in a children's musical at church is a pretty poor substitution for being in one yourself. The musical will be running July 10-19, so pack a picnic, and come on up to Sherman to see us!

Esther-ordinary Faith!

Sunday was our spring children's musical at church. The girls did a WONDERFUL job, and had a great time! This was Celestia's last musical with FBC Anna, as she will be in *gasp!* middle school next year! As always, she smiled and did a wonderful job with her part. Tatiana got exactly the role she wanted, and I am so proud of them both! I hope to have my video camera figured out soon, so I can post some video clips of them, but for now, the pictures will have to do.

Musical fun!

For the last few years, our church has done two children's musicals a year - one in the Spring, and a Christmas musical. The girls look forward to these, and I am also one of the teachers for them. It's such a busy time of year for my family that I am often tired out and frustrated by the practices and commitment, but in the end it's a great time, and this year was no exception. The musical was called the Christmas County Spelling Bee. All the kids learned to spell different names of Jesus, and they did a GREAT job!!!
The Saturday before we performed, the cast had the privilege of appearing in the Anna Christmas parade. This was the girls first time to be in a parade, and I think they enjoyed it very much!
Our church's sanctuary is structurally challenged this year, (meaning the roof is falling in, and it's just not safe!) so everything has been moved into the fellowship hall until it can be rebuilt. The kids had only one rehearsal on the new (MUCH smaller) stage there, and I'm so proud of all forty-some-odd of them for the way they adapted!
The morning of the musical, we arrived for our last quick run-through and pictures. It's certainly a sign of the times when the girls both have their makeup and hair fixed, and Mommy doesn't! I eventually got myself put together, although I think only halfway so for the pics. HA!
Celestia's part in the musical was that of head cheerleader, and she had a nice long solo that she did wonderful with. As Tatiana is only in third grade, and we had over forty children this year, she did not have a named part, but did an AWESOME job with her solo!!! Jonathan said that they're following in their mom's footsteps already. I wonder if I should get them an agent? ;)
