All about baby

In case you're wondering about our coming baby...

The baby is due October 11, but somehow, I doubt I will make it that long.  Celestia was 6 lbs. 8 oz., and Tatiana jumped a whole 2 pounds to 8 lbs. 7.5 oz.  As Jonathan was a 10+ pound baby, we will be keeping a close eye on the situation, because this momma simply cannot have a whopper baby, and I think we would all rather not have a cesarean.

We have had one sonogram to look at the baby, and everything looks good so far.  At the sono, baby's heartbeat was at 140 bpm.  We were back at the doctor yesterday, and baby's heartbeat was at 167 bpm.  To give you an idea, the average range is 120-160 bpm, with it being higher in the first trimester.

I'm feeling pretty good.  Tired, but not too sick to my stomach as long as I eat small, frequent meals.  If I eat too much at one time, it makes my gallstones flare up and is EXTREMELY painful.  So, small, frequent meals for me, because I don't want to have gallbladder removal surgery while I'm pregnant (although they can do that).

Thanks to everyone for the congratulations.  We're excited!  :)

Family vacation

We haven't had the opportunity to take a family vacation in years.  Seriously.  The last time we went anywhere together as a whole family was before Jonathan and I got married, so that's been a long while.  Thanks to Jonathan's job, he had earned enough airline miles that the girls and I were able to fly to Virginia and meet up with him (he was already there for work) and stay with his family for a week.  It was nice to have a week together away from home.  While there, we went to Luray Caverns, the house where Robert E. Lee was born, and the Smithsonian natural history museum and American history museum.  We also got to see the property where Jonathan's parents are building their new home.  The girls were especially excited that they got to go to 2 new states (Virginia and West Virginia) and the District of Colombia.
